Introduction
Why do we offer user and admin classes? If it comes to a HELIOS server, there are two points of view.One is from a Mac or Windows computer doing prepress or design work with Xpress, InDesign, Illustratorand Photoshop. These people are "users", which must learn how to handle and input data properly inorder to get the most out of a HELIOS server. On the other side there are people working with HELIOSAdmin, the Settings and ICC-Profiles Volume, and using a UNIX terminal, sometimes. Most often it isthere job to set up and maintain the server. These are admins.

However if it comes to configuration and defining new workflows admins will be interesed to see andlearn the users point of view. Therefore some of the professional classes offered for users should betaken by admins, too. And surely there will be users interested in HELIOS hotfolder automation. They arewelcome to join some of the automation and scripting classes offered for admins.

Some background on the trainer
Dr Oliver Schröder has a Ph. D. in Physics from the RWTH Aachen University in Germany. From 1994 till 1999 he was HELIOS product manager with the German HELIOS distributor Promo GmbH in Hamburg.

In 1999 Oliver started his own company Profundus, providing training for color management, PDF workflow and general use of the HELIOS Software Suite. As a second service, Profundus offers technical sup port for HELIOS users and reseller all over Germany and abroad. In 2002 Profundus started to develop and implement individual scripting on basis of the HELIOS server.

Oliver is married and lives in Hamburg.
